Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Group Data Migration Lead to drive and coordinate end-to-end data migration activities across a large-scale ERP and business systems transformation program. This role will play a key part in ensuring high-quality, repeatable, and scalable data migrations across multiple operating companies migrating to Dynamics 365 F&O and related enterprise platforms.

Working within a global data organization, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with functional consultants, solution architects, data engineers, and implementation partners to ensure migration activities are executed with rigor, consistency, and strong governance.

The position combines hands-on migration expertise with methodological leadership and mentoring responsibilities for other migration specialists.

Key Responsibilities

Data Migration Execution

• Lead end-to-end data migration activities across complex ERP implementations.
• Define and maintain field-level mappings between legacy systems and target platforms, primarily Dynamics 365 F&O.
• Design and implement transformation logic for cleansing, preparing, validating, and loading data.
• Execute repeatable migration cycles including reconciliation, validation, and defect resolution.
• Plan and support cutover rehearsals, sequencing, dependency management, and rollback validation.

Migration Standards & Methodology

• Develop and maintain scalable migration frameworks, templates, and standards.
• Ensure migration artefacts are properly documented, reusable, and aligned across multiple rollouts.
• Continuously improve migration practices based on lessons learned and project feedback.

Tooling & Technical Enablement

• Leverage Dynamics 365 F&O migration capabilities, including DMF.
• Evaluate and apply enterprise migration tools such as Informatica or similar platforms where appropriate.
• Translate technical tooling capabilities into practical and efficient migration processes.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Monitor migration progress, dependencies, and risks across multiple concurrent implementations.
• Coordinate shared data dependencies across operating companies and global master data domains.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, consultants, governance teams, and external partners.

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor and support data migration specialists in day-to-day execution activities.
• Act as escalation point for complex migration-related challenges.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, standards adoption, and capability building within the team.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• 6+ years of experience in end-to-end data migration projects within enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of ERP data structures and migration concepts including staging, sequencing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover.
• Hands-on experience with data mapping and transformation logic at field level.
• Strong SQL skills for data profiling, validation, and transformation support.
• Experience working with legacy systems and incomplete or poorly documented datasets.
• Experience working in structured implementation programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Strongly Preferred

• Direct experience with Dynamics 365 F&O data migration and DMF.
• Experience operating in multi-entity or multi-subsidiary environments.
• Previous experience mentoring or guiding migration specialists.

Nice to Have

• Experience with enterprise migration tools such as Informatica or similar.
• Background within manufacturing, industrial, or asset-heavy environments.
• Familiarity with large-scale ERP transformation programs.
