Department Description

As an infrastructure solution architect, you will report directly to the Head of the Group Platform.

Key stakeholders are other network, technical services, security and cloud technical domain solution architects for delivering end-to-end technical solutions, but also program managers or asset owners, engineers and third parties for its implementation. Alignment with enterprise architecture is also required.

Job Description

Infrastructure is a broad topic. Atradius is looking for an Infrastructure solution architect with a background in solutions and infrastructure architecture, with experience in making architectural recommendations and defining and documenting designs for large enterprise-scale deployments. A strong technical background with broad knowledge across a diverse technical landscape and deep technical expertise in one or more technology areas is desired.

You will be working with several teams:

• The Network, Middleware, Security, and Infrastructure teams and their corresponding engineers, leads and project managers
• The Cloud Competence Centre (CCC) is mandated to implement Atradius Cloud Strategy
•  The Enterprise Architecture team, especially Architects from the CIO unit (within Atradius ITS)

 Based on background/knowledge, they expect their Infrastructure Architect to play a key role in the main functions below:

•  Evaluate system requirements:
• Analyze existing systems to ensure that these systems provide the necessary security/performance to meet Atradius’s needs/expectations.
• Propose alternative solutions/improvements:
•  Propose alternative technologies to improve/enhance the systems that support Atradius’s goals. Those requirements should be documented and communicated to the management level within ITS
• Review of new systems:
•  Design and review process of new systems. Develop and document proposed changes that need to be implemented or integrated across the working platforms of the CTO unit
• Integrate new infrastructure:
• Define detailed plans to add new systems to the existing core infrastructure within Atradius, providing technical direction and support throughout this process
• Assess projects:
• Evaluate new systems integrated into Atradius. Keep track of the success of the project, identifying best practices for future implementation. Provide feedback to the management level and incorporate all gathered information into future integration plans

In this position your key responsibilities will be:

The infrastructure Architect will have the ability to judge and assess the viability and feasibility of Atradius and 3rd party infrastructure solutions,advise and influence project sponsors and teams on the technical direction and actively support the implementation process of such solutions.

These include but are not limited to:

• Create High-Level Designs for new Atradius infrastructure services
• Support the Engineering teams to develop, test and operate new Atradius infrastructure services
•  Address any issues related to security and performance
• Ownership of the technical solution, design, documentation, and roadmap for those services
• Day to day technical management of key vendor relationships
• Continual optimization of existing infrastructure services, and elimination of technical debt
• Identify potential technology innovation to introduce new services, or transformation of existing ones, to meet with Business/CTO strategic objectives
• Own, lead and prioritize a part of the infrastructure architecture backlog and strategy
• Follow and be involved with Atradius capacity planning and performance management teams
• Acting as thought leader and technical domain expert
• You will make sure that projects and domains are building solutions (infrastructure) in the right way on premise or in Cloud

Eligibility Requirements

• Experience with architectural frameworks (like TOGAF), and design patterns
• Previous responsibilities in driving solution architectures, by guiding involved teams and implementation parties
• Experience of working on Infrastructure architecture and solutions for large, multi-site and multi-business unit organizations supporting mission critical services in a Cloud hybrid model
• Server and storage virtualization and automation
• Experience with Digital Workplace Architecture including remote access & working, SD-WAN, Server-less Branch office, Workplace Security and Virtualization, Communication and Collaboration, especially implementing M365 and Citrix solutions running on VMware hypervisor.
• Familiarized with network architectures involving WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, but also security items as Network Segmentation
• Having an interested eye on the market trends and technologies, being an effective technical leader, driving innovation, improvements, and rationalization
• Experience in defining cloud-ready and cloud-native and especially hybrid architectures
• Strong ability to communicate well in English and Spanish, orally and in writing
