Program Lead Interim / Freelance

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Program Lead to lead a transformative initiative within the container shipping industry for our client. As a pivotal part of this initiative, you will drive the adoption of electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) among top-tier freight forwarders. This role is ideal for someone passionate about influencing change in global supply chain management and driving digitalization in ocean container shipping.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to engage freight forwarders in achieving 100% eBL adoption.
• Lead collaborative efforts among freight forwarders to transition from paper BL to eBL.
• Organize and oversee various engagement activities such as webinars, promotional events, round tables, proof of concepts (PoCs), and personalized interactions.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders including ICC, ESC, FIT alliance, among others, to align efforts and drive forward this transformative agenda.
• Offer support to participating freight forwarders in implementing eBL pilots.
• Provide valuable insights for the design and development of tools facilitating eBL adoption.
• Support the Marketing & Partnership team in crafting success stories and educational programs for freight forwarders.

Requirements:

• Substantial knowledge and experience in container shipping and/or freight forwarding.
• Preferably, extensive prior experience working directly with or for freight forwarders.
• Demonstrable senior project management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in analytical problem-solving.
• Proven track record of effective team collaboration.
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
