Senior Engineering Manager Permanent

Collaborate with the different application teams which depend on the shared components, and projects that could benefit from reusing new/changed shared components. To enable them to improve their service to our customers and speed up their delivery.

The team is on a journey from a traditional Application Maintenance Service towards a BizDevOps way of working, implementing new business needs, and a technology roadmap from on-premise Oracle Fusion Middleware technology towards standard cloud-based Java/Spring technology.

Job Requirements:

• Strong personal, team building, and influencing skills – including experience in managing deliveries across diverse teams (e.g., location, culture, organization, internal/outsourced).
• Well able to express himself in English in speaking and writing, and a good understanding of Spanish (speaking and writing) would be beneficial.
• Experience with BizDevOps and the transformation challenge.
• Experienced line manager, with demonstrable ability to manage, coach, and develop your staff members.
• Proven track record in engineering, with a clear capability to lead by example. Experience in working with cloud and Java/Spring would be a great asset, while Oracle Fusions Middle Ware would be beneficial.
• Analytical approach to problem-solving and escalation management, with demonstrable ability to make effective decisions at the right time within the overall boundaries of the organization.
• We structured, logical, disciplined approach to the planning, organizing, and tracking work, with the ability to think ahead and correlate to the bigger picture. Capability here includes planning, resourcing, budget management, scoping, impact assessments, risk mitigation, issue management, and dependency management across programs with the ability to explain detail to audiences at all levels.
• Willingness and ability to travel (+/- 10 %).
