International fintech company building a cloud-native platform for FX and cross-border payments. The product enables corporate clients to manage multi-currency accounts, execute global payments, and hedge currency risk through a secure digital platform.

The environment is highly technical, modern, and focused on scalability, reliability, and automation in a regulated financial context.

The Role

The Platform Engineer will play a key role in scaling and maintaining a Microsoft Azure-based platform that supports high-volume international payment services. This role is focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and platform reliability, working closely with engineering teams to ensure secure and highly available systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve Azure cloud infrastructure
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Manage Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security
• Work with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics)
• Support Kubernetes / containerised environments (AKS)
• Drive automation, deployment improvements, and operational excellence
• Support incident response and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with engineering teams on platform improvements

Requirements

Must Have

• 5+ years in Platform Engineering / DevOps / Cloud roles
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM)
• Docker and containerised environments
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices
• Scripting skills (PowerShell and/or Bash)

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes / AKS experience
• Experience with Microsoft 365 / Intune
• Knowledge of Azure networking and hybrid environments
• Experience in fintech or regulated industries
